Congratulations to Jared Engh on his second VISAA state title!  Joining Jared on the podium were Shane Maryk, who finished 4th and Cole Martini who finished 5th!  Overall, Woodberry placed 12th out of 29 teams participating in the tournament.
Great job to all of the Tigers!

"The Magnificent Seven!"

Well, Coach Budlong said the boys he took to the St. Albans Invitational were, "The Magnificent Seven"!  I couldn't agree more!  The final results of the tournament were posted to show that among the 32 schools that participated, Woodberry finished 10th with only seven boys wrestling!  That is amazing and the Tigers should be very proud!

St. Albans Invitational

Coach Budlong took 7 wrestlers to Washington, DC for the annual St. Albans Tournament.  This tournament features top teams from around the region.  Teams from Wyoming Seminary (Pa), Kiski (Pa), Good Council, (Md), Georgetown Prep, St. Andrew's (De) and many others compete in this event.  It's a good challenge prior to the VISAA State Tournament.

All of the Tigers wrestled tough and four placed!  Congratulations to Jared Engh - 2nd, Cole Martini - 4th, Darby Henegan - 6th and Shane Maryk - 6th!  So proud of these boys!

An Exciting Prep League Championship!

What an exciting day of wrestling!  Woodberry hosted the Prep League Championship and the host team did very well!  Three wrestlers were crowned champion and the Tigers finished second overall!
We also celebrated a great man!  Coach Dick Glover was honored with a lifetime achievement award!
