The Woodberry Forest wrestling team competed in the Atlee Raider Duals on Saturday December 19th in Richmond. As the school returned home for Winter Break, Woodberry Wrestlers stayed behind practicing in preparation for the Atlee Raider Duals.
Friday December 18, the team took a trip to Short Pump Mall in Richmond for Christmas Shopping

The Tigers participated in five dual meets against Atlee, Prquoson, Matoaca, Chancellor, and N. Stafford. Kent Walker '18 had one of his best weekends of the season so far and produced 4 pins for the Tigers. Keeling Wood '16 was another standout for the team and had 3 pins, finishing up 4-1 on the day. Andrew Holmes '16 and Roy Toston '16 continue wrestle at a high level in the middle of the lineup for the Tigers, Andrew wrestled to a 4-1 record and Roy matched that as well, pinning 3 opponents on to a 4-1 record on the day. Jackson Case '16 had a breakout performance for his weekend as well, earning 2 pins and finishing up with a 3-2 record. Darby Henagan '16 continues to dominate his opponents in the heavyweight division week in and week out, pinning 4 of his opponents and receiving a forfeit, ending the weekend with a perfect 5-0 record. The Tigers finished the day with a solid 3-2 record. Each member of the team had good matches throughout the day and there were many highlights from the team during the tournament. Overall the team wrestled well and proved to be moving closer towards success this February!
