The Tigers went to Fork Union for the "Prep" league finals and finished a strong second place! All of the boys did well and worked very hard all day. Congratulations to Brandon Walker (138) and Douglas Semerling (172) who won their respective weight classes on Saturday at the Virginia Prep League Tournament.
Next for the Tigers will be a trip to Washington, D.C. for the annual St. Albans tournament. Most of the boys stayed at the Forest during the long winter weekend to prepare for this tough tournament. Wrestlers from Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, D.C., and Virginia compete in this prestigious tournament.
The following weekend will be the VISAA state finals in Glen Allen, VA. The top three finalists from each weight class will earn a trip to Lehigh University in Bethlehem for the National Prep Tournament. Mark your calendar for February 22nd and 23rd!
